the donor

i read a story the other day about a girl that received a liver transplant. for some reason, this girl's body actually changed blood types from her existing type to the type of the donor. not only that, but she even adopted the donor's strong immune system. she is the only known documented case of this happening... ever. something radical happened to her that caused her to become completely changed, transformed into something other than what she was. funny how things in nature can speak such loud similarities to our relationship with God. He comes into our lives and we receive his righteousness. that righteousness transforms our lives, even the very person that we are, into something completely different. we begin to take on the nature of our donor. what a vivid picture of the work that He does within us.
